Une batterie solaire est un accumulateur électrique qui stocke l’énergie produite par les panneaux photovoltaïques. Les batteries au plomb (aussi appelées plomb-acide) sont couramment utilisées pour les panneaux solaires mais également pour les voitures électriques.

A lithium-ion battery or Li-ion battery is a type of rechargeable battery that uses the reversible intercalation of Li ions into electronically conducting solids to store energy. One of the earliest examples of research into lithium-ion batteries is a CuF 2/Li battery developed by in 1965. The lifespan of a lithium-ion battery is typically defined as the number of full charge-discharge cycles to reach a failure threshold in terms of capacity loss or impedance rise.

Simply storing lithium-ion batteries in the charged state also reduces their capacity (the amount of cyclable Li+) and increases the cell resistance (primarily due to the continuous growth of the solid electrolyte interface on the anode). Compared to other types of rechargeable batteries, they generally have higher Generally, the negative electrode of a conventional lithium-ion cell is made from.
